Neruda 05:43
Well it’s raining On the jungle and the village And you’re travellin’ through With eyes, wide, wide open And you read your poems To the peasants in the village We receive with eyes Wide, wide open Travel down to the ground Hear the sound from the sky Hear the water, see the lightning Strike the sky from the ground Oh Neruda, oh Neruda Oh Neruda, oh Neruda And you see, and we see And you see, and we see You were brought down By something from within And you died with eyes Wide, wide open But your poems resound Through the peasants in the village And we see with eyes wide, wide open Travel down to the sound Hear the ground rumbling out Hear the water, see the water In your being, in the ground (chorus)

Coffee at an outdoor cafe With her friends She was talking and laughing She was beautifully indescribable But the thing that held me most Was her smile Those dark brown eyes Were brighter than a thousand stars I was pulled by her gravity Didn’t care if it blinded me ‘Cause when she smiled She melted the ice From my deepest seasons When she smiled My disbelief turned to reasons And perchance we met months later By my front door And every day’s been a window With wings Such a beautiful discovery Being born again and again And again and again Being born again and again (bridge and chorus) I went to a costume party I was dressed as an angel That fell from heaven But they said you’ve fallen Harder than that my friend You have fallen in fallen in Fallen in fallen in love You have fallen deep into love (bridge and chorus)

Stones 03:32
Missing out On the best part of a day ‘Cause you’re throwing stones Just so that you can say That you’re right again That you’re right again But in your life You can’t see That the things you say Are truer of you Looking down On each and every one That you dain to see But you cannot see No you cannot see ‘Cause in your life You don’t know That you’ll always be Just like me And you’ll always be Wrong like me and down like me Just as long as we live on We will find a way Waking up To the things that hide within These flimsy walls Made of reason made of sin But you can’t wake up No you can’t quite wake up But in your life You can’t see That the things you say ‘Cause in your life You don’t know That you’ll always be Just like me

To You 04:24
When I turn this sleepy mind To a world I left behind All my senses will unwind All the wrong turns that I took All the half-read, abandoned books And love gone sour over time All the things I thought were wrong All the longing, lonely songs Were the right things all along They led me to you You are the open and close of every day And all the rest just seems to blow away And every touch is love in a different way When I go to work each day I see the faces on the train An old man is staring at his feet And a woman sitting there Her hands trembling in prayer As she brushes back her daughter's hair And it's hard to fight despair When it travels everywhere In this stale, train compartment air But at the end of every day The most beautiful refrain Every second of my life Leads up to you, You are the open and close of every day And all the rest just seems to blow away And every touch is love in a different way

Lobsters 03:51
I really must get out of here But it feels so wrong to leave them The water isn't clear and I don't want to be eaten anymore, no more We could help each other and then Get away together If one of us is lucky then We shouldn't say we'll never do the same And I really hope that I'm not Held back by the lobsters I really hope that I'm not Held back by the lobsters Just because I'm getting out Shouldn't make you feel bitter I'd love to see you succeed But you're too resigned to failure Don't take it out on me Because I won't be Held up by the lobsters I really won't allow Hold ups by the lobsters Jealousy will claw away until You are broken And once your colour's changed There's no escape from the oven You're their main course And I really hope that I don't End up like the lobsters I really hope that I don't End up like the lobsters

Pictures of oilseed and sunshine Taken in youth Preserved by days Spent moving through my country Of cliffs white and water everywhere I will return there On the long way home The long way home Places too numerous to mention Stand behind my memories And form the walls Of my soul, has been washed And been blown 'Til the shape that it bears Is like a diamond Where is the long way home The long way home People, so many names So many thoughts So many aims The foundation of my consciousness They helped me to build I'll meet them somewhere On the long way home The long way home

And We Sing 05:04
Well we drive down this old gravel road By a patch of wild chives And the ruts run deep on this old road Which we've carved out all our lives It winds yonder o'er the hills To a place which we call home And the kids have grown up, moved away Now we're finally alone Oh, and we sing Oh, and we sing So we find our secret swimming hole On the side of Silver Creek And we skinny dip under the moon And we laugh but do not speak We uncork our precious, ripe bottle Of dandelion wine Then we drink in celebration Of a wonderful lifetime (chorus) Then we pull out my old warped guitar And we sing in harmony And we dance around this prairie field As naked as can be (chorus)

about

Tea Thieves Budapest, Hungary

It all started in a tea house in Budapest called CD-fű, where Todd Moore had been performing solo. There he was joined by Jamie Howell, who carved out a different dimension with his electrical interpretations of Moore's songs, making them new again.

It was the with the arrival of bassist Michael Kentish weeks later and then drummer Scott Finlayson that the creative fusion was complete.
