You should be ashamed and You should feel guilty You just stand there staring With mouths open wide Leave them alone it’s none of your business And go home people, there’s nothing to see And if this is how you entertain yourselves I can see just how you’ve Messed it up so well No ideas, no thoughts of your own All you people, go back home Only good at making babies And destroying houses, and ruining homes I haven’t had a chance to clean it So don’t go in there, there’s nothing to see (chorus) We all make mistakes But you make it a habit It’s all so easy But you don’t understand Unaware of what’s been happening So if you don’t want to know Then look away now (chorus)

Empty 05:17
I make my way down to the brig With memories not my own Of days gone by when blackened men Left anxious ones at home Caught up in the romance Of this ancestry of mine The empty hills resounding with Refrains of Auld Lang Syne I hardly noticed how the time Easily slipped away ‘Til I heard my father’s voice Upon that fateful day How easy to explain away The endless time which fills our days ‘Cause in the end we’ll face the fact That our lives were full of useless things It is too late to say ‘I’ll come again another day’ When our loved ones die I never knew him well enough to shed a tear Instead I stayed inside my comfort And behind my fear Fear of finding out my thoughts Were empty of the truth Now I wish I’d given him Some more time from my youth

M1 04:36
M1 all the way I’ve got to make it pay Where I’m going The lights can’t be too bright Luton, almost there The ring road is coming up here Where I’m going The lights can’t be too bright I can’t get enough of it tonight Offers like rain Choke up my ears From the people who feign The closeness of peers Space filled in Brain packed out No desire within My face is cracked with doubt Break down, not all there Break down on the stage In this place The lights are just too bright And when I bury my head In my pillow tonight The same thoughts will be Running through my mind I’m never gonna make it here I’m never gonna make it here I’m never gonna make it here M1 all the way Wakefield, almost there

Prism 04:05
Prism hanging from the window frame Sorting colours into different names Lilac kisses of the morning lips Emerald green the envy of the others Every colour so defined By the time, the angle Or the strength of light When the light comes down And we’ve gathered ‘round We’ll all see that light From different sides Indigo the man with his guitar On a yellow moon that’s setting with the stars Scarlet sun is waiting in the wing Canary in her cage begins to sing Every colour so defined By the time, the angle Or the strength of light When the light comes down And we’ve gathered ‘round We’ll all see that light From different sides

Secret Plans 02:43
I’ll make the lines, as cryptic as I like ‘Cause you don’t need to understand them You’ll give the sign, in your own good time I’ll just make sure that I am watching I blew the lighthouse bulb The stowaways are in the hold I stole the secret plans And watched them slip right through my hands You look so bored, I hope that you’re insured For all the damage that I’ve caused you I can’t be home, in case my cover’s blown You won’t believe the risk I’m taking I saved the human race Solved the crime and closed the case Don’t have to like myself It’s easier being someone else Keep wearing black, in case I don’t come back In case that everything’s for nothing I’ll find the answers to Why we are here and what we must do I’ll clear away the doubt Of what our lives are all about

Dawn 05:13
The humming of the falling snow Pulls you from sleep Downstairs into the kitchen You are only just beginning You wipe the steam off of the window You grind some coffee A flake of falling snow Only just beginning To see through the window A blank slate is written in the sky And we will rise Into the night The naked light Burning bright But you will not turn away Your spinning in your bathrobe Your slippers And the snow dissolves away You are only just beginning The unpaid bills The family feuds They wash away Connect the snow to sky Only just beginning To see through the window A blank slate is written in the sky And you will fly Into the night The naked light Burning bright But you will not turn away But you will not turn away You could spin ‘round and ‘round Turnin’ away

about

Tea Thieves Budapest, Hungary

It all started in a tea house in Budapest called CD-fű, where Todd Moore had been performing solo. There he was joined by Jamie Howell, who carved out a different dimension with his electrical interpretations of Moore's songs, making them new again.

It was the with the arrival of bassist Michael Kentish weeks later and then drummer Scott Finlayson that the creative fusion was complete.
